The challenge.
Customer records, verification and agreement signing were handled across Salesforce, Sumsub and DocuSign. The stages needed a connected workflow.
What we connected.
Integrated Salesforce, Sumsub and DocuSign to connect customer records with verification and agreement signing, bringing verification and signing updates back into Salesforce.
Start with the customer.
Salesforce connects the customer record to the verification and agreement workflow.
Verify the customer.
Sumsub handles verification and connects the result to the next stage.
Complete the agreement.
DocuSign handles signing and returns agreement updates to the customer record.
Verification and signing updates return to Salesforce.
CRM, verification and agreements — three apps, one connected workflow.
How the integration works
- Salesforce provides the customer record. The CRM record connects the customer to the verification and agreement workflow.
- Sumsub handles verification. Verification activity and its result connect back to Salesforce, keeping the CRM linked to this stage of the customer journey.
- DocuSign handles the agreement. Agreement signing forms part of the same integration, alongside the CRM and verification stages.
- Verification and signing updates return to Salesforce. The customer record brings together the status of the two stages.
The role of each system
| System | Role in the delivered integration |
|---|---|
| Salesforce | Customer record and connected verification and agreement status. |
| Sumsub | Customer verification and verification updates. |
| DocuSign | Agreement signing and signing updates. |
The project connects three apps across the customer workflow. Its scope includes both verification and agreement signing, with Salesforce receiving updates from those stages.
Supported results
- Three stages are connected. Customer records, verification and signing form one integrated workflow.
- Verification remains linked to the CRM. Sumsub updates return to the customer record in Salesforce.
- Agreement status is connected too. DocuSign signing updates return to Salesforce alongside verification status.
The workflow illustration explains the connected systems and return paths; it is not an application screenshot.
What changed.
The three apps work together across the customer workflow, with verification and agreement status connected to the CRM record.
